Apex Legendsis preparing to transition into its eighth season with lots of changes and new content. Throughout the seven seasons so far, Respawn Entertainment has not only added in-game content such ascharacters, weapons, and new maps, but it has introduced lore and entertaining stories to go along with the gameplay ofApex Legends.

Each character has a backstory, unique relationships with other characters, and motivations for being a part of theApex Legendstournament. SinceApex Legendsis set in theTitanfalluniverse, many of the characters have connections with events and people from that franchise as well. The stories ofApex Legendsare told with season trailers, origin videos called “Stories From the Outlands,” and a few in-game events.

YouTuber Chef Knoop has taken clips from these trailers and origin stories to create an impressive anime-style intro. Using the song Torch of Liberty by KANA-BOON, which is also an intro song from the animeFire Force, theApex Legendsanime intro features quick cuts of action-packed cinematics. Many of the amazing character videos released by Respawn Entertainment can be seen during the anime intro, includingPathfinder’s “Fight Night” origin storyand Loba’s origin story where she comes face-to-face with her parents' killer, Revenant.

The anime intro fits together so well that one might expect an episode to start after the conclusion of the video. The intro video even includes footage from thelatest trailer for Season 8, which introduces the newest legend Fuse in a devastating video that sees his ship crash and destroy Kings Canyon.

DespiteApex Legendsbeing primarily a battle royale title, Respawn Entertainment has found creative ways to immerse players in its lore with quests, challenges, and in-game Easter eggs such as the latest Town Takeover featuring a voice message from Mirage’s mother where she revealsMirage is related to two characters fromTitanfall 2.

Although Respawn Entertainment has not revealed any plans to convertApex Legendsinto a TV show or movie, the fan-made anime intro shows there is enough character development within its various trailers and videos to support a complete story. AsApex Legendscontinues into Season 8, more lore is going to be revealed, and fans can only hope that one day the characters may be seen on TV screens, perhaps accompanied by an epic anime-style intro like this one.

Apex Legendsis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with Mobile and Switch versions in development.
