ControversialTikTokcontent creator and internet celebrity Andrew Tate is having his detention in jail extended by at least another month. The former kickboxer, along with his brother Tristan Tate, are being held in jail in Romania for an additional 30 days, extending the brothers' detention until at least February 27.For those unaware of the situation,Andrew Tate had his home reportedly raidedby Romanian law enforcement agency DIICOT on June 06, 2025 on allegations of rape and human trafficking. In the days following his arrest, authorities appear to have taken possession of plenty of the self-proclaimed misogynist’s assets, including several houses and a multi-million dollar car collection.RELATED:Apex Legends Apparently Banning Players Who Type ‘Andrew Tate’DIICOT specifically is Romania’s anti-terrorism and organized crime agency, which suspects Andrew and Tristan Tate of human trafficking and rape, although formal charges have yet to come about for the formerTikTokstar or his brother. While the fact that the investigation is currently ongoing means further details are scant, Andrew Tate has vehemently denied any of the charges. Through several tweets from Tate’s official account – though it is unclear if it is actually him or someone tweeting for him – he says that anyone who believes he is a human trafficker is a “moron.”

The extension of jail time comes just days afterAndrew Tate lost his bid to end his detentionaltogether. During an appeal, Tate’s legal team attempted to convince the Romanian judge to grant he and his brother’s bail, on the account that both of them have young children. The team also cited Andrew’s illness, with the content creator reportedly being temporarily shifted to a hospital after developing potentially cancerous lung nodules. The courts denied them however, mandating he is detained for the initial 30 days, with today’s development doubling his time in jail.

Andrew Tate’s detention extension is surely disheartening to his fans and friends, although one particular friend is planning on traveling halfway around the world to see him. Upon learning he was one of five people put on his visitation list – and the only non-family member – prominent streamerAdin Ross is planning on visiting Tate in jail. The controversial Twitch streamer released a video detailing the discovery as well as he and Andrew’s friendship, commending him for how he’s handled the situation and letting Tate know he’s on his way.

Even if and when Andrew Tate finishes his legal battle, he has plenty of other battles waiting for him on the outside. Last monthKSI said he’d “love” to fight Andrew Tate, as well as a possible brawl with Logan Paul. However, that will likely all depend on the result of Tate’s ongoing investigation.
