AMDis all set to reveal the RDNA 3 architecture, the tech giant’s next offering in the graphics card arms race, with the event also including some new footage from some upcoming games, as well as more. The event will be kicking off October 3 at 4pm ET. WithNvidia recently launching its RTX 4090 hardware, the GPU market is set to get ever more competitive as the two behemoths of the industry lock horns once more with new products.

Talks of team red preparing the follow-up to its current Radeon range have been hovering around the web for some time now. Whereas team green appear to be offering cards that go for brute power,AMD seems to want RDNA 3 to offer more efficiency. Indeed, Nvidia’s 4000 series has already shown just how massive it is, even compared to its bulky predecessor, so no doubt many will be interested to see what the competition will be offering. According to a recent post on the official Radeon Twitter account,AMDwill not only be unveiling its next-gen graphics cards, but will also be offering world premieres of a couple of upcoming titles. One of these will be Striking Distance’s hypedThe Callisto Protocol, while another will be Luminous Productions' action RPGForspoken. If that wasn’t enough, team red says it also has a sneak peek of “something amazing” from Ubisoft, but currently, there’s no indication on what that could be. However, given what the event is about, a new GPU and video game footage, it’s possible it could be an upcoming title that’s in development, but that’s speculation at this stage.

The Callisto Protocolin particular is going to be one that many will be looking forward to. Asone of the most anticipated horror games of this generation, along withThe Outlast Trialsand the official remake ofResident Evil 4, the title has been labelled a spiritual successor toDead Space, both of which have been helmed by director and producer Glen Schofield.

As forAMDand the upcoming event, many PC enthusiasts will no doubt be tuning in to see what Dr. Lisa Su and her team have in-store that can go up against Nvidia’s Ada Lovelace architecture. With team red offeringopen-source image upscaling software FSR, as well as possibly aiming for efficiency over pure power, there’s a chance RDNA 3 could blow the likes of the RTX 4090 out the water.
