Activision has released a new main seriesCall of Dutytitle every year since 2005. If the unofficial updates regarding this project are considered, though there has been quite an amount of information that is being circulated in the community in the form of rumors, leaks, and speculations about the game’s setting, gameplay mechanics, and more.

According to the popularCall of Dutyleaker ModernWarzone, and many others, the upcoming title of the series will be calledCall of Duty: WW2 Vanguard. The leaks from ModernWarzone also suggest that the newCall of Dutywill be set in an alternate universe where the Second World War never ended. Now, many of the rumors suggest that this one will be set during the time period of the Second World War, while others suggest that the game will be set in the 1950s, both of which sound plausible if the War never ended in the game’s universe.
In addition to the setting, some of the leaks suggest some of the core gameplay features of the upcomingCall of Dutygame. According to the notedCall of Dutyleaker Tom Henderson,the upcomingCoDgamewill feature more on foot action as compared to the other titles from the series, which follows the widespread rumors suggesting the World War setting of this game. As for the storyline of this game, Henderson has specified that it will be rather gritty and controversial, much likeCall of Duty: Modern Warfare.He further says that the fans can expect some dark and mature moments spread throughout.
Call of Duty: Warzone Implementation and Connections

If the game follows the same path asBlack Ops Cold War, there are chances that keen-sighted players might just be able to spot some Easter eggs or references about the upcoming game a month or so before its release.
