A large point of discussion within theElden Ringcommunity is the prospect of DLC. As of right now, FromSoftware hasn’t confirmed the development of DLC forElden Ring, but given the studio’s past record with additional content regarding previous titles, the possibility ofElden RingDLC does seem somewhat likely. Though, one fan recently gave fans a glimpse of what aElden Ringgolf DLC might look like.
One particular advantage of DLC is that it has the potential to be completely divergent from the game it’s based on in ways that players may not have expected. In recent years, theFar Crygames have experimented with DLC in fairly unique ways, especially with the recentVillainsDLC forFar Cry 6. However, whereElden Ringis concerned, a certain fan has gone a rather odd direction in terms of DLC ideas forElden Ring.

Over on Reddit, a user named Zaiburo posted a series of images that were generated from a model generator AI called DALL-E mini, which show some semblance of what golfing inElden Ringcould look like. Considering how detailed and beautiful some areas inElden Ringare, they could possibly serve as a nice backdrop for a golf course. This also coincides with what another user named Wulfenbach said in another post involving a dream they had about golf DLC forElden Ring.
GivenFromSoftware’s propensity for more serious DLCthat serve primarily as a direct continuation of whatever game the DLC is for, it’s unlikely thatElden Ringgolf DLC will actually happen. That said, between these two posts alone, this has almost certainly given someone in the modding community a plethora of ideas.
There have already been a multitude ofmods developed forElden Ringalready that either improve the quality of life during active gameplay, enhance the graphics, or add entirely new content for the game altogether. For some players, it wouldn’t be that surprising if a golf mod forElden Ringwas developed at some point in the future.
In any case, it will be interesting to see if officialElden RingDLCgets released at some point. While there’s already a lot of content for players to experience in-game already, the fact that the design and storytelling ofElden Ringis so open-ended, it would allow for additional content in a way that feels diegetic with everything else the game has to offer from both a lore and gameplay perspective.
