There’s nothing quite like a Ghost to put some fear into opponents inCoromon. They may be weak to Magic-type moves, but their resistance to Normal and Cut-type attacks can be incredibly useful.

Likepesky poltergeists in the real world, many of these Coromon are particularly peculiar to pilot in battle. Players who know what they’re doing will be able to maximize their abilities and find success.

Eclyptor

Lunarpup evolves into Lunarwolf at level 21 and Lunarwolf evolves into Eclyptor at level 39. Having the Trait Menacing is especially useful as Eclyptor has an extremely low Defense stat. Its immense Speed and Special Attackmake it a glass cannonthat can deal an astronomical amount of damage if allowed to get a hit in.

The only issue is that it has only four attacks that draw on its Special Attack stat at all in battle. It does however have a lot of utility with Status moves as it’s able to burn opponents with Ignite as well as use weather-related moves like Heatwave and Artificial Night while likely out-speeding the opponent.

Grimmask

Seraphace are uncommon to find but likely worth it over hunting for a Grimmask alone.Seraphace evolves into Grimmask at level 32. Grimmask’s biggest claim to fame is its massive HP alongside solid Defense and Special Defense stats. This makesthe ghost a serious stalling threat.

It has several fantastic Status moves like Hypno Wave, Frantic Mask, and Disable Heal that can really slow down opponents. Grimmask won’t be the damage dealer for a Coromon team but is perfect as a supporting character for the party.

Mudma

As Mudma is unable to be caught in the wild, players will have to track down the uncommon Droople and evolve it up.Droople evolves into Mudma at level 28.

Mudma is absolutely designed to try and keep the fight going as long as possible by stalling until the opponent manages to fall. With Traits like Gourmand and Resistant to help either reduce damage or increase healing alongside its unique move pool like Mist, Replenish, and Time Warp, it allows the players to try and control the opponent well. Toxic Cloud allows it to poison the opponent and deal damage while they try to not faint.

Octotle

Squidly evolves into Octotle at level 28though it may not be easy to train it up. This is because it is extremely fragile compared to other Coromon. It takes careful use to be effective as it does have a massive Special Defense but will instantly fall apart if attacked physically. This can make having the Trait Menacing very attractive.

However, its true strength may come in allowing it to be defeated. Octotle has two incredible moves called Soul Swap and Final Gift. Soul Swap essentially revives a previously fallen Coromon which can allow players to bring back exactly what they need to close out the battle. Final Gift will take away all of the opponent’s SP leaving them quite possibly useless in battle the rest of the match. It’s an excellent way to get rid of threats and with its speed, Octotle will almost be guaranteed to land them.

It can also use Shared Fate to almost guarantee the knockout as well as using Ball of Darkness to simply unleash one solid attack that can take down enemies and get the ball rolling so its Trait Motivated is activated.

Orotchy

Otogy are uncommon to find but catching one is required to have an Orotchy on the team.Otogy evolves into Orotchy at level 40. It can become seriously terrifying thanks to havingan amazing Ghost-type move— Phantom Spike. Every time it is used to defeat an opponent, Orotchy’s Attack and Special Attack will raise extremely. It does have Ghost, Cut, and Normal-type attacks as well, allowing it to potentially sweep opposing teams once it’s set up.

Purrghast

Players will have to train up to get a Purrghast but thankfully Purrgy are rather common.Purrgy evolves into Ghinx at level 38 or by eating enough Purrgy Nurbles and Ghinx evolves into Purrghast at level 54.

Purrghast is an incredible support Coromon with the ability to keep not only itself alive but its teammates as well. Its trait Tactical Retreat allows it to heal up nicely whenever it retreats, but it may not need to while using Ghastly Nap to heal and make it harder for the opponent to land a hit. With Disable Heal, Disable Trait, and just plain Disable, players should be able to control the opponent well. At worst, using Soul Swap willallow it to heal teammates as necessary.

Purrghast’s low Attack stats aren’t that bad either thanks to attacks like Kitty Claws and Cat Scratch which do damage based on percentages of the opponent’s HP over needing stats.
