The nature of the game mode means a variety of hilarious possibilities while searching for loot, battling other squads, or clawing one’s way out of the Gulag. The following ten memes below recall the moment to moment amusement that occurs in the massive multiplayer arena.
Updated January 4th, 2021 by Jason Wojnar:Considering Call of Duty’s annual releases, people were wondering what Warzone’s future would be once new entries in the franchise came along. Fortunately, the battle royale mode will live past its connection to 2019’s Modern Warfare and is being updated alongside Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. To celebrate its relationship with the most recent Call of Duty, we decided to present more delightful memes recalling our fondest, or most embarrassing, memories in the free-to-play mode.

15At Least It’s Something
Some inexperienced players will find themselves in the Gulag often. However, there’s something to be said for someone who masters the opportunity at a second chance.
Only one team wins inWarzone, but every Gulag victory is a small bit of satisfaction a majority ofthose on the mapcan receive during the course of a match. Of course, there’s no stopping them from dying moments after parachuting in again.

14Go Out With Honor
As awesome as the Gulag is, players re-enter the map with only the pistol, leaving them at a distinct disadvantage next to fully decked out teams. That does not mean the player should cower in fear. They must stand up and fight with dignity.
If there’s one thingGhost of Tsushimahas taught players, it is to enter a battle with honor, and not resort to nasty tricks.

13Emotional Support
Nothing feels better than entering Verdansk with a skilled team who can destroy enemies as easy as drawing breath. The only trouble is keeping up with them.

An amateur player is probably best served in this situation hiding in a bush and providing emotional support to their teammates or berating the opponents. At the very least, the less experienced player should try and collect as much money as possible.
12Well That Doesn’t Make Sense
Assuming this headline is true, the hackers inWarzoneare real babies for complaining about not being able to cheat in the battle royale. A true hacker would read the updates which make their job harder and think “challenge accepted.”
Ultimately, however, one should not hack the game, since it is incredibly unfair to those paying honestly. One wonders why hackers even feel satisfaction from cheating.

11Self-Revive Trickery
Self-revives are expensive, but worth it especially if one is planning on some long-range battles. If asniper takes out a player, the self-revive helps bring one right back into the fight without going to the Gulag.
Sometimes the winner might go in for the kill and not realize the other player is quickly reviving themselves for a swift counterattack. Of course, nothing stops you from being on the other side of the barrel in this situation.

10Res Me, Bro
There’s nothing worse than a teammate who is constantly dying and dragging the team down. What’s worse is when they constantly ask for a revive.
Bringing someone back from death is expensive, and if the revived teammate just bites it again, it really grinds the other fighters' gears. It’s almost like donating a lot of money to a political campaign that ultimately decides to drop out of the race.

9Backup
The coolest thing about the Gulag is the ability to watch matches from the sidelines. If a teammate is in the same lobby, they can provide support by spotting the enemy.

The rounds are so quick in this prison, it is difficult to accurately relay where the enemy exactly is, but the smallest detail can help claim victory. Unfortunately, the one who helped their teammate is less likely to get similar assistance.
8We’ve All Been Here
Nothing exemplifies a bad start to aWarzonematch like this incredibly hilarious scene fromThe Other Guys. Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L Jackson’s characters aretwo star copswho inexplicably jump off a building to their deaths, perhaps thinking they would live due to hubris.
Warzoneplayers can sympathize with this attitude, especially if they just won a prior match or scored a ton of kills. A little bit of humility and caution goes a long way.

7Games Are Supposed To Be Fun
SinceWarzoneisfree-to-play, plenty of people who do not regularly playCall of Dutyprobably jumped into it with some friends to see what the fuss is all about. Many probably found themselves in a situation similar to the poor soul in the above photo.
They just want to explore the map while their friends are dragging them right into the eye of the storm and going up against fully loaded enemy teams.

6The Poor Hard Drive
A common joke amongWarzoneplayers is the massive amount of space the game takes place on one’s hard drive. Any time an update comes out players have to delete some games and move things around to download it.
Part of it is the game’s connection toModern Warfare. Players have to download the whole game even if they did not purchase it.
